Most of the golfer reviews that we have read have been positive about this course.

As of January, the course was being renovated. Not sure about course status.

The course has a storied history with the likes of Howard Hughes playing the course.

The course is located in the south central part of Houston, near downtown. The layout is fairly open for new golfers to feel comfortable, yet presents a few challenges for more experienced golfers.

A full driving range is available for practice or warming up. Additional practice areas include a putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker. The pro shop staff is available for lessons. Tee times are available on weekends and holidays.

Gus Wortham is a non-metal spike facility.

Fully stocked pro shop and full snack bar.
