What Houston Golfers are Saying About This Course

Mulligans Golf Course is actually an all around practice facility. Driving range, putting green, chipping area, and 9 hole Par 3 golf course. Lessons are also offered.

The driving range is on the back side of a shopping strip. A few trees and water make it interesting.

A great place to unwind and convenient if you live on the northwest side of Houston.

Houston Golf Review Team Course Review

Best Suited To: Beginners and those who want to work on their short game or bring the family out to enjoy some time outdoors.

Course Condition: Played the course at the end of June 2009. Dry, HOT, has been this way for a while. Course conditions refect the weather. The fairways are dry and hard. The greens are also hard and fast with patchy areas and sand on some of the surfaces.

The course is not very long. The only obstacle on the course is the water hazard that is in front of the 9th hole. The only other way to get in trouble is to slice or hook it over the fence that follows the outside edge of the entire course.

Keep your eyes open when walking or moving from hole to hole. The course is designed and attracts a lot of beginners. The cart paths and layout can put you in harms way if you're not paying attention. For instance, on hole #8, you are hitting toward the #9 tee box and the cart path veers toward the #8 fairway.

Staff: The staff was very friendly. They seem to enjoy what they are doing.

Liked the Least: Condition of the greens. You won't be backing any balls up with spin on these greens.

Liked the Most: The atmosphere! Most of the people at the facility that day were couples, and dads with their children. The facility is family friendly and encourages newbies to learn the game.

Overall Experience and Value: I really enjoyed myself. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly people. I walked 9 holes $12. Hit a bucket of balls $9. They are in the process of increasing prices in July, so we'll check back then. With a little work on the greens, this could be a nice little course to play regularly. It's affordable and encourages newbies. We like that at Houston Golf Review.
